Cerinthe
Cerinthe
(Grower’s Bunch)
Textural, moody, and full of movement.
Also known as honeywort, cerinthe brings a wild, sculptural quality to arrangements with its arching stems, dusky blue-green foliage, and bell-shaped purple bracts. It’s a favorite for adding contrast, depth, and a naturalistic feel to designs.
Florist Notes:
Stem length: 14–24" average, with natural curve
Vase life: 5–7 days
Color range: Blue-green foliage with rich purple bracts and occasional pink-to-indigo hues
Bloom behavior: Bracts continue to deepen in color after harvest; foliage softens slightly with age
Design use: Ideal for garden-style and fine art arrangements, wild bouquets, and textural fillers; mixes beautifully with focal blooms and other herbs
Handling tip: Strip lower leaves, avoid crowding in water, hydrate wrapped and refresh cut every 2–3 days for longevity
Available: Late June–August
Sold in: Grower’s bunch 6-12 stems varied depending on branching
